JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for responding to product application support questions from clients regarding the company’s software. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope. Analyzes problems with software applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommends solutions to client application questions. May utilize specialized domain expertise related to the specific application of the software to resolve client problems. May establish and maintain systems that provide answers to common questions and problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for complex client issues, ensuring timely and thorough resolution using established protocols and independent judgment
  • Engage in advanced client interactions by diagnosing root causes, recommending strategic solutions, and delivering exceptional support across a suite of software applications
  • Lead high priority troubleshooting efforts, including software dependency management, detailed case documentation, and coordination with Support colleagues or other teams as needed
  • Leverage internal tools, logs, and system analytics to proactively investigate patterns and drive long-term solutions
  • Act as a voice of the customer by delivering insights and feedback to internal stakeholders for product enhancements, support process improvements, and training opportunities
  • Maintain ownership of escalated cases from intake through resolution, ensuring communication is proactive, clear, and aligned with service level expectations
  • Support knowledge sharing by creating or refining internal documentation, process flows, and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, contributing to their growth and improving team-wide performance

Which team will you be joining?

You’ll join Infrastructure, the team that owns the platform every other Primer engineer builds and ships on. CI/CD, deployment, internal tooling, ephemeral environments: if it’s how code gets from a laptop to production safely, it’s ours.

We operate the way the rest of Primer does. Remote-first, async, high autonomy, low bureaucracy. You build it, you own it, and that includes running it in production. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and work alongside a small group of senior infrastructure engineers.

What makes this interesting right now is the human-AI development loop. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we want someone to own how that actually works at Primer rather than bolting it on. That part of the role is yours to define.

What will you be doing?

  • Own Primer’s internal developer platform end to end: the CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows (canary, blue/green), self-service tooling and ephemeral environments that every engineer here depends on to ship.

  • Build the human-AI development loop. This is the most open part of the role: the tooling and automation that let engineers work effectively alongside coding agents, and the patterns that make agent-driven workflows fast and safe at Primer.

  • Treat developer productivity as a measurable system. Instrument it, find where delivery actually slows down, and ship the changes that fix it instead of guessing.

  • Take real operational ownership. You’ll join the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation and own the reliability of what you build.

  • Set the technical direction for how Primer’s engineers build and ship, and bring less experienced engineers along with you as you do it.

  • Improve how engineers write code, not just how they ship it. Partner with product teams to make the tools, frameworks and internal APIs they use everyday more ergonomic, and help reduce the friction of building features at Primer.

  • Build Primers paved roads. Reduce the application boilerplate engineers write, shape standards around how services are built and configured, and own the golden-path tooling that lifts efficiency across every team.

  • Work in the open across a fully distributed team, making your decisions and trade-offs visible rather than holding them in your head.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong cloud infrastructure experience. AWS is preferred; we’ll also consider strong GCP backgrounds.

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience.

  • Infrastructure-as-code as a working tool, not a buzzword. Terraform is preferred, but Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar are fine. Not having Terraform specifically is not a blocker.

  • CI/CD as a core competency. You’ve owned the build, test and deploy workflow and preview environments, not just used them.

  • A history of measuring and improving delivery, using DORA, SPACE or a similar framework to back the work up.

  • Comfortable owning production systems and being part of an on-call rotation.

  • A genuine software engineering background. You’ve built and maintained applications or products, not just infrastructure tooling.

  • You can reason about what makes code pleasant to work with. This is what lets you build AI and developer tooling that engineers actually want to use.

  • An async-first communicator who works well in a remote, distributed team.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience building with AI or agent tooling, or working directly with LLM-based development workflows. This field is new, so real curiosity counts alongside real experience.

  • Familiarity with MCP servers and agent integration patterns.

  • Payments, fintech or other regulated-industry experience.

  • We’re remote-first and async-first. Nobody is looking over your shoulder, and nobody is going to hand you tightly scoped tasks. You own your work from problem to production.

  • This role carries real operational weight. You’re on call for what you build, and when something breaks at an awkward hour, that’s yours too.

  • The AI-enablement side of this is genuinely undefined. There’s no playbook yet. If you want a clear, settled remit, this isn’t it. If you want to write one, it is.

SUMMARY

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting either our Strategic or our Major customers, reporting to the regional Manager, Solutions Engineering. You will partner directly with regional Strategic or Major account executives to help change our customers’ view and how they approach cloud security. You will be their trusted advisor for all matters related to cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with either the Strategic or the Major sales team to provide technical leadership to our customers and prospective customers in conjunction with helping our team meet their quarterly sales targets using value selling playbooks.
  • Provide presentations to our customers and prospective customers such as whiteboards, product demonstrations, slides, and proof of value outcomes tailored for both technical teams and C-level executives.

We’re looking for our first Senior Product Designer to own the experience design of the platform: how a flow is structured, how people navigate, how an interaction feels. You’ll also own the design system that keeps everything coherent as the platform grows.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll own the work end to end: talk to the people who use our products, decide how an experience should work, and hand engineers something they can build from.

We focus on what’s most impactful for our students: the quality of the experience. A UI-focused contractor is available to you as a resource, and you’ll set the direction they execute against.

The ideal candidate is a designer inspired by potential projects like these:

  • Designing the Learner Hub, the student-facing part of our Career Mobility OS: personalized career roadmaps, skills tracking, and employer-connected pathways

  • Building and owning CodePath’s first design system: its interaction patterns and components

  • Untangling and redesigning the core platform areas no single product manager owns today, like accounts, onboarding, and navigation

  • Designing the interfaces for AI-powered learning tools, including tutoring, coaching, and grading

Key Activities

  • Design end-to-end user flows, navigation, and information architecture across the platform, and document them as wireframes and specifications engineers can build from

  • Own CodePath’s design system: the interaction patterns, components, and standards that keep the platform consistent

  • Run lightweight product discovery. Talk to students, staff, and internal stakeholders to define what’s needed, especially for platform areas and internal tools that no product manager owns

  • Partner with product managers to turn prioritized initiatives into build-ready designs, and with engineers to resolve design questions as they build

  • Direct a UI design contractor to extend your output

  • Set and hold the bar for experience quality across the product

Qualifications

  • 6+ years designing web products end-to-end, with a portfolio that shows your thinking on flows and structure and the process behind your work

  • Strong information architecture and interaction design skills. You can take an ambiguous problem and produce a clear flow, navigation model, and spec

  • Experience running your own discovery: talking to users and stakeholders to figure out what’s needed rather than waiting for a fully specified brief

  • Experience building or contributing to a design system

  • Fluency producing engineer-ready artifacts (wireframes, prototypes, specs) in Figma or a comparable tool

  • Comfort with ambiguity and small-team dynamics. You’ve worked without a large design org around you and know how to prioritize without perfect information

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Passion for education and desire to make a positive impact

Nice to Haves

  • Experience designing for education, marketplaces, or data-heavy products

Compensation

CodePath has standardized salaries based on the position’s level, no matter where you live. For this role, we’re hiring for an individual contributor position at an annual salary of $148,000 to $190,000 per year for US-based applicants. Which team will you be joining?

You’ll join Infrastructure, the team that owns the platform every other Primer engineer builds and ships on. CI/CD, deployment, internal tooling, ephemeral environments: if it’s how code gets from a laptop to production safely, it’s ours.

We operate the way the rest of Primer does. Remote-first, async, high autonomy, low bureaucracy. You build it, you own it, and that includes running it in production. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and work alongside a small group of senior infrastructure engineers.

What makes this interesting right now is the human-AI development loop. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we want someone to own how that actually works at Primer rather than bolting it on. That part of the role is yours to define.

What will you be doing?

  • Own Primer’s internal developer platform end to end: the CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows (canary, blue/green), self-service tooling and ephemeral environments that every engineer here depends on to ship.

  • Build the human-AI development loop. This is the most open part of the role: the tooling and automation that let engineers work effectively alongside coding agents, and the patterns that make agent-driven workflows fast and safe at Primer.

  • Treat developer productivity as a measurable system. Instrument it, find where delivery actually slows down, and ship the changes that fix it instead of guessing.

  • Take real operational ownership. You’ll join the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation and own the reliability of what you build.

  • Set the technical direction for how Primer’s engineers build and ship, and bring less experienced engineers along with you as you do it.

  • Improve how engineers write code, not just how they ship it. Partner with product teams to make the tools, frameworks and internal APIs they use everyday more ergonomic, and help reduce the friction of building features at Primer.

  • Build Primers paved roads. Reduce the application boilerplate engineers write, shape standards around how services are built and configured, and own the golden-path tooling that lifts efficiency across every team.

  • Work in the open across a fully distributed team, making your decisions and trade-offs visible rather than holding them in your head.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong cloud infrastructure experience. AWS is preferred; we’ll also consider strong GCP backgrounds.

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience.

  • Infrastructure-as-code as a working tool, not a buzzword. Terraform is preferred, but Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar are fine. Not having Terraform specifically is not a blocker.

  • CI/CD as a core competency. You’ve owned the build, test and deploy workflow and preview environments, not just used them.

  • A history of measuring and improving delivery, using DORA, SPACE or a similar framework to back the work up.

  • Comfortable owning production systems and being part of an on-call rotation.

  • A genuine software engineering background. You’ve built and maintained applications or products, not just infrastructure tooling.

  • You can reason about what makes code pleasant to work with. This is what lets you build AI and developer tooling that engineers actually want to use.

  • An async-first communicator who works well in a remote, distributed team.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience building with AI or agent tooling, or working directly with LLM-based development workflows. This field is new, so real curiosity counts alongside real experience.

  • Familiarity with MCP servers and agent integration patterns.

  • Payments, fintech or other regulated-industry experience.

The Opportunity:

Grafana Cloud moves millions of metrics, log lines, and traces per second from our customers’ environments into a highly available, low-latency stack that processes and stores this data, and serves them to dashboards and alerting tools. We aim to grow this to hundreds of millions per second, and it’s critical that as we grow, we improve our performance, increase our reliability, and, of course, do it efficiently and effectively.

The Internal Engineering Platform (IEP) delivered by the Platform department provides application engineers with the tools, systems and Kubernetes clusters they need to build, deploy and run their workloads. Platform roles at Grafana Labs have an eye for engineers with a passion for performance and reliability, and who enjoy taking projects from conception to production. We organize ourselves into squads to allow focus on: cloud infrastructure and capacity management; security; engineering productivity; monitoring and sustainability; and US Federal compliance.

Because we deploy production services, we have on-call rotations to ensure the health of the system. Everyone at Grafana Labs tries to incorporate and use our product line up into their day-to-day, so being on call is an important way to understand our system and how people use our products.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We are hiring for the Platform SysEng squad. This is an accelerated, cross-cutting squad that is focused on the maturity and scalability of the platform. Currently, SysEng is working across engineering with a goal of reducing new region build timelines to meet customer demands.

We’re part of a Platform Engineering group that manages infrastructure for the teams that are building some of the most cherished tools - Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope to name a few.

  • You have experience with operating your code. Since a lot of operators and developers use our software, having some grounding in both of these spaces really helps us with building better platforms for our users.

We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always paired with strong code review and quality standards. You’ll also have access to frontier models (e.g., GPT-Codex 5⁄3, Claude Opus 4.6, Gemini 3 Pro).

Requirements:

  • Proven delivery of large distributed systems. Experience shipping and operating complex systems that span multiple teams, with clear evidence of technical leadership and impact.
  • Demonstrable experience in system design. Deep understanding of tradeoffs around latency, consistency, availability, scaling and cost.
  • Hands-on cloud and platform experience. Solid experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers/Kubernetes, IaC) and the operational practices that keep them healthy.
  • Reliability and performance ownership. Comfortable defining SLOs/SLIs, doing capacity planning, tuning performance, and driving reliability work end-to-end.
  • Excellent coding and design skills. You write clear, maintainable, well-tested code and can lead technical designs — we use Go, but Python/C/C++/Rust or similar translate well.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development. We embrace AI and agentic development so we expect you to be curious and comfortable using AI-powered developer tools and ideally have practical experience folding them into a team’s workflow.
  • Influence without authority. Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, set priorities and drive outcomes in a remote-first environment.
  • Strong communicator. Clear written and verbal communication that works across engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points For:

  • You’ve worked in or on open source, or other community-based projects previously. At Grafana Labs, “OSS is in our DNA”.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes scheduling and projects like Karpenter.
  • Terraform and/or Crossplane experience. We have mixed usage - each has its strengths.

Compensation & Rewards:

In Canada, the Base compensation range for this role is CAD 186,368- CAD 223,642. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here.

Which team will you be joining?

You’ll join Infrastructure, the team that owns the platform every other Primer engineer builds and ships on. CI/CD, deployment, internal tooling, ephemeral environments: if it’s how code gets from a laptop to production safely, it’s ours.

We operate the way the rest of Primer does. Remote-first, async, high autonomy, low bureaucracy. You build it, you own it, and that includes running it in production. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Data and work alongside a small group of senior infrastructure engineers.

What makes this interesting right now is the human-AI development loop. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we want someone to own how that actually works at Primer rather than bolting it on. That part of the role is yours to define.

What will you be doing?

  • Own Primer’s internal developer platform end to end: the CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows (canary, blue/green), self-service tooling and ephemeral environments that every engineer here depends on to ship.

  • Build the human-AI development loop. This is the most open part of the role: the tooling and automation that let engineers work effectively alongside coding agents, and the patterns that make agent-driven workflows fast and safe at Primer.

  • Treat developer productivity as a measurable system. Instrument it, find where delivery actually slows down, and ship the changes that fix it instead of guessing.

  • Take real operational ownership. You’ll join the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation and own the reliability of what you build.

  • Set the technical direction for how Primer’s engineers build and ship, and bring less experienced engineers along with you as you do it.

  • Improve how engineers write code, not just how they ship it. Partner with product teams to make the tools, frameworks and internal APIs they use everyday more ergonomic, and help reduce the friction of building features at Primer.

  • Build Primers paved roads. Reduce the application boilerplate engineers write, shape standards around how services are built and configured, and own the golden-path tooling that lifts efficiency across every team.

  • Work in the open across a fully distributed team, making your decisions and trade-offs visible rather than holding them in your head.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong cloud infrastructure experience. AWS is preferred; we’ll also consider strong GCP backgrounds.

  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience.

  • Infrastructure-as-code as a working tool, not a buzzword. Terraform is preferred, but Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar are fine. Not having Terraform specifically is not a blocker.

  • CI/CD as a core competency. You’ve owned the build, test and deploy workflow and preview environments, not just used them.

  • A history of measuring and improving delivery, using DORA, SPACE or a similar framework to back the work up.

  • Comfortable owning production systems and being part of an on-call rotation.

  • A genuine software engineering background. You’ve built and maintained applications or products, not just infrastructure tooling.

  • You can reason about what makes code pleasant to work with. This is what lets you build AI and developer tooling that engineers actually want to use.

  • An async-first communicator who works well in a remote, distributed team.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience building with AI or agent tooling, or working directly with LLM-based development workflows. This field is new, so real curiosity counts alongside real experience.

  • Familiarity with MCP servers and agent integration patterns.

  • Payments, fintech or other regulated-industry experience.

You may not like it here

  • We’re remote-first and async-first. Nobody is looking over your shoulder, and nobody is going to hand you tightly scoped tasks. You own your work from problem to production.

  • This role carries real operational weight. You’re on call for what you build, and when something breaks at an awkward hour, that’s yours too.

SUMMARY

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting either our Strategic or our Major customers, reporting to the regional Manager, Solutions Engineering. You will partner directly with regional Strategic or Major account executives to help change our customers’ view and how they approach cloud security. CodePath’s educational programs run on our learning platform, a set of applications with functionality spanning admissions, course delivery, grading, career coaching, and reporting. These tools have been amazingly effective, but we’re increasingly seeing our limited design bandwidth holding us back in our efforts to take them further.

We’re looking for our first Senior Product Designer to own the experience design of the platform: how a flow is structured, how people navigate, how an interaction feels. You’ll also own the design system that keeps everything coherent as the platform grows.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll own the work end to end: talk to the people who use our products, decide how an experience should work, and hand engineers something they can build from.

We focus on what’s most impactful for our students: the quality of the experience. A UI-focused contractor is available to you as a resource, and you’ll set the direction they execute against.

The ideal candidate is a designer inspired by potential projects like these:

  • Designing the Learner Hub, the student-facing part of our Career Mobility OS: personalized career roadmaps, skills tracking, and employer-connected pathways

  • Building and owning CodePath’s first design system: its interaction patterns and components

  • Untangling and redesigning the core platform areas no single product manager owns today, like accounts, onboarding, and navigation

  • Designing the interfaces for AI-powered learning tools, including tutoring, coaching, and grading

You’ll play a key role in driving clarity, managing change, and supporting successful implementation.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll also help strengthen best practices and foster collaboration across teams, all while supporting Upstream’s mission, vision, and values.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end requirements for complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery and scope definition to delivery.</li> <li>Partner with business, product, engineering, QA and project leaders to align on approach, milestones, risks and success metrics.</li> <li>Facilitate stakeholder workshops to analyze current processes, identify gaps and design improved future-state workflows.</li> <li>Create and manage clear, actionable deliverables (user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mapping, business rules).</li> <li>Own requirements across the SDLC, ensuring traceability and effectively managing evolving scope and priorities.</li> <li>Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate solutions and ensure alignment with business goals and compliance needs.</li> <li>Support QA and UAT to validate outcomes, resolve defects, and ensure high-quality releases.</li> <li>Communicate status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and consistency.</li> <li>Drive implementation readiness, documentation, and adoption while mentoring others and elevating BA best practices.</li> <li>Other projects and duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience delivering complex initiatives as a Business Analyst/Sr. Business Analyst across the SDLC (Agile and/or Waterfall).</li> <li>Proven ability to lead discovery, define requirements, and produce clear, actionable deliverables (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).</li> <li>Experience partnering cross-functionally with business, product, engineering, and QA to manage scope, ensure traceability, and drive delivery.</li> <li>Strong understanding of systems, integrations, and data flows, with the ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes.</li> <li>Confident communicator and facilitator who can align stakeholders and translate between business and technical teams.</li> <li>Analytical, organized, and self-directed; able to manage competing priorities and deliver results.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience leading large, cross-functional software initiatives end-to-end, including integrations and multi-system impacts.</li> <li>Strong background in process improvement, including current/future state analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis.</li> <li>Experience partnering closely with engineering and QA to support sprint/release planning, UAT, and defect resolution.</li> <li>Healthcare experience, including knowledge of revenue cycle, billing standards, payer rules, or clinic workflows.</li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL and reporting/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to support data-driven decisions.</li> <li>CBAP (IIBA), PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe POPM, or similar certification.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits Offerings</strong></p> <ul> <li>100% employer paid medical health insurance premium option available</li> <li>Dental and Vision insurance</li> <li>401(k) with company match</li> <li>Generous PTO and paid holidays</li> <li>Supportive team and leadership invested in your success</li> </ul> <p><strong>A Better Place to Build Your Career</strong></p> <p>Upstream Rehabilitation offers entry-level candidates and career professionals the opportunity to serve in corporate and non-clinician roles, both remotely and in our physical therapy clinics and corporate offices across the country.
