What this role involves

At Offchain, we aren’t just building products: we’re leading a movement.

As pioneers in blockchain scalability and security, we’re at the forefront of transforming how the world interacts with decentralized applications. We’re laying the foundation that will define the next generation of digital commerce, governance, and human interaction. This involves tackling real-world challenges that come with scaling blockchain technology, without compromising on its core principles: decentralization, security and transparency.

At the center of this vision is our people. Our team is made up of thinkers and doers that embrace new challenges and seek solutions that push existing boundaries. If you’re energized by solving unprecedented problems, and believe in the role that decentralized systems will play in creating a more equitable digital future, then we want to hear from you.

Why Offchain?

Offchain is setting the pace for the entire Ethereum ecosystem. We built the Arbitrum stack that powers Arbitrum One, the most widely adopted Ethereum scaling solution that exists today.

Arbitrum’s ecosystem is undergoing tremendous growth with hundreds of projects and dApps on Arbitrum One today. Over 100 different teams have used Offchain technology to build their own Arbitrum chains. Major players in the space, Robinhood, BlackRock, Ethena Labs, Securitize, Aave, and Apechain are all using the Arbitrum stack.

Arbitrum’s thriving ecosystem wouldn’t exist without our advanced technology stack. Arbitrum, Prysm, ZeroDev. These aren’t just product names. These are tools that are actively reshaping what’s possible on Ethereum and advancing its core infrastructure.

To top it all off? We’re backed by $124 million in funding. We’ve demonstrated consistent execution with billions in secured value, thousands of supported projects, and infrastructure processing millions of transactions seamlessly.

The Role

  • We are seeking a VP of Finance to serve as a key strategic architect of Offchain’s financial future. In this role, you will act as a vital partner to the executive team to drive capital strategy and long-term financial planning. Getting into the details, you will provide a deep assessment of the status quo and an execution plan on how to improve.
  • This leader will institutionalize our financial infrastructure, and will provide the sophisticated clarity required to navigate the complexities of a scaling global ecosystem. You are a visionary who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and the details, capable of transforming financial data into a competitive advantage.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Architect the long-term financial roadmap for Offchain, ensuring our fiscal strategy aligns with ambitious growth targets and ecosystem evolution.
  • Capital & Treasury Stewardship: Lead complex treasury management and capital allocation strategies, optimizing liquidity and risk in a high-growth, digital-asset-centric environment.
  • Institutionalize Governance: Establish enterprise-level standards for financial reporting, audit readiness, and internal controls, transforming the finance function into a pillar of institutional credibility.
  • Executive Partnership: Serve as a core advisor to the executive team, providing data-driven insights and financial modeling that drive high-stakes decision-making and business model optimization.
  • Organizational Scaling: Design and implement a scalable financial tech stack and data infrastructure that automates routine reconciliations and provides real-time visibility into global performance.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead high-impact, cross-departmental initiatives—from M&A activity to complex tax structuring, ensuring all workstreams meet the highest standards of financial rigor.
  • Audit & Stakeholder Management: Own relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and strategic partners, ensuring seamless compliance and sophisticated reporting in a complex regulatory landscape.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven Executive Tenure: 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, with significant scale-up experience in high-growth technology environments.
  • Strategic Visionary: A track record of moving beyond the “numbers” to influence company strategy, fundraising, and organizational design at the Board and executive levels.
  • High-Agency Leadership: Experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing finance and accounting teams from the ground up.
  • Advanced Financial Architecture: Mastery of complex financial modeling, including the ability to synthesize multifaceted data sets into clear, actionable executive narratives.
  • Operational Excellence: The ability to instill structure and discipline in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment without sacrificing the agility required for a scaling startup.
  • Exceptional Communication: Poise and clarity when presenting to the Board, investors, and external regulatory bodies, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Deep Web3 / Crypto Professional or Personal Experience: A sophisticated understanding of the crypto landscape, including treasury management of digital assets and the nuances of blockchain-native financial operations.

Perks:

  • Remote-first global workforce + NY office
  • Annual company offsite + team onsites
  • Professional reimbursement program (facilitates industry conference attendance, certifications, and more)
  • Medical, dental & vision coverage (US + some other countries)
  • 401k retirement plan + company match (US only)

Finance Mercury: Chief Audit Officer

Chief Audit Officer leads Mercury's independent assurance program, overseeing risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance across the fintech company.

Exec Remote Posted 24 days ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Portland, OR, or Remote within United States

Arthur C. Clarke famously said that “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

At Mercury, we aim to deliver a magical experience to our customers who rely on us for their banking* and financial workflows. But behind the magic lies a lot of rigor—internal audit is a key part of keeping Mercury safe, resilient, and worthy of our customers’ trust.

As Mercury’s first Chief Audit Officer, you’ll lead the company’s independent assurance program that allows us to scale with confidence. You will serve as a strategic partner to the Board and Audit Committee, providing an objective, enterprise-wide view of our financial, operational, and technical resilience.

This role is about finding the right balance between high-velocity innovation and the rigorous expectations of our partner banks and regulators. By moving toward data-driven, continuous monitoring, you will ensure our growth is anchored in integrity. You’ll drive a culture of audit readiness where excellence is the baseline and regulatory exams result in no surprises.

Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.

Here are some of the things you will do:

  • Own the Audit Vision — evolve the risk-based internal audit strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s growth, regulatory expectations, and emerging risks.
  • Provide Independent Assurance — deliver objective evaluations to the Board and Audit Committee(s) on the effectiveness of our risk management, internal controls, and governance.
  • Ensure we Audit the Stack — own the audit universe; ensuring completeness of Audit coverage across Mercury. Oversee the audit program to ensure the plan includes the appropriate mix of technical and operational audits that dive deep into our business, automated movement of funds, and cloud infrastructure to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Validate the "Magic" — ensure our audit program includes timely validation that new and existing product workflows and financial controls are operating exactly as intended, identifying potential friction before it impacts the customer.
  • Bridge the Regulatory Gap — act as a key point of contact for our partner banks and regulators, providing them with the confidence that Mercury’s internal oversight is rigorous and proactive.
  • Automate Oversight — design and implement continuous monitoring systems that replace manual checklists with real-time, data-driven audit insights.
  • Champion SustainableRemediation — serve as the senior escalation point to partner with Engineering, Product, and Risk leads to ensure audit findings result in structural improvements, not just temporary fixes and that remediations are appropriately prioritized within the roadmaps, in line with risk.

There are lots of paths that could lead you to be successful in a role like this; we think the strongest candidates will have some of these experiences or attributes:

  • Bring proven leadership in audit — you’ve built or scaled internal audit functions within high-growth banking or financial services, ideally at the intersection of traditional finance and fintech innovation.
  • Have technical fluency — you are comfortable in a cloud-native, remote-first environment. You can discuss API integrity and automated controls as easily as you can discuss balance sheets and reconciliations.
  • Navigate the regulatory landscape with confidence — you know what regulators expect, you’re comfortable engaging directly with them, and you can help Mercury anticipate and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Maintain strong and effective independence — you have the fortitude to deliver difficult news and the diplomacy to ensure those insights lead to positive change.
  • Communicate clearly and simply — whether you’re talking to the Board, regulators, engineers, or product teams, you cut through jargon and make risk concepts understandable and actionable.
  • Balance protection with possibility — you know how to safeguard the company without slowing it down, and you see the audit function as a way to unlock and safeguard innovation, not stop it.
  • Lead with curiosity and vision — you’re ambitious about where audit can go in a modern fintech, and you bring the curiosity to explore new ideas, new markets, and new ways of serving customers safely.
  • Inspire and develop others — you build strong teams, mentor future leaders, and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and trust across the company.

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity, and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $275,400 - $361,400
  • US employees outside of the New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $247,900 - $325,250

All individuals seeking employment at Mercury are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process for applicants with disabilities or special needs. Finance Senior Director, Global Sales Compensation at Fivetran

Lead global sales compensation strategy and design, architecting incentive plans and frameworks that align field behavior with company strategy.

Exec Posted 24 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.

About Us

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.

As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Director, Sales Compensation & Strategy to lead our global compensation governance and operations for our GTM motion. This role is for someone who values clear ownership, operational excellence, and long term thinking. You will report to the VP, Finance & Strategy and partner closely with Sales, RevOps, HR, Legal, and Finance. We expect a hands-on leader who is as comfortable driving incentive designs through a data driven approach as they are coaching the team and influencing executive decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the global sales incentive planning and design process, owning frameworks that translate executive strategy into field behavior.
  • Architect and implement compensation plans for consumption/usage-based pricing models across Enterprise, Commercial, and Channel sales.
  • Lead the design and integration of sales compensation plans across the Fivetran and dbt GTM motions, harmonizing crediting, quota, and plan mechanics into a unified framework post-merger.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to GTM and Finance senior leadership, presenting data-driven tradeoffs and recommendations to the Sales Compensation Committee.
  • Own the incentive compensation management (ICM) system of record and modernize operations through AI automation, governance, and scalable execution.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Sales Compensation team, including managers and senior analysts, and own hiring, coaching, and development.
  • Establish global plan governance, clear plan documents, exception workflows, consistent audit and approval processes, and SOX-ready controls to support IPO readiness and external audits.
  • Design, run, and report plan effectiveness analytics, attribution, and ROI modeling; propose and implement plan changes based on rigorous analysis.
  • Drive transparent, inclusive communications and enablement so sellers understand how they earn and how changes affect them.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure compensation programs are ASC 606 compliant for revenue recognition and commission accounting, and comply with local regulations and tax practices.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of experience in sales compensation or sales strategy, including significant hands-on experience designing and operating global incentive programs at enterprise scale.
  • Deep knowledge of incentive plan mechanics across Enterprise, Commercial, and Channel sales, including quota and territory design, pay mix, accelerators, SPIFFs, and exception governance.
  • Proven experience with consumption or usage-based pricing models and how to translate them into effective incentive plans.
  • Strong technical command of Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or comparable ICM platforms, plus advanced modeling skills in SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
  • Exceptional analytical rigor with experience running complex modeling, scenario analysis, plan ROI and leakage reviews, and commission accrual modeling under ASC 606.
  • Experience operating in a pre-IPO or newly public environment, with familiarity building SOX-compliant compensation controls and supporting external audits.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; comfortable advising C-suite and navigating matrixed organizations without direct authority.

Bonus Skills

  • Direct experience at a high-growth SaaS company undergoing product or pricing transformation.
  • Experience harmonizing compensation programs across acquired entities or merged go-to-market motions.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI or automation to improve compensation transparency and forecasting.

Join the team as Twilio’s next Director, Revenue & CoGS Accounting.

About the job

In this role, you will be the visionary leader of Twilio’s global revenue and CoGS accounting operations and play a critical role in shaping a global revenue recognition framework that is as agile as it is accurate, ensuring our financial reporting scales seamlessly with our product innovation. You will bridge the gap between complex technical accounting and high-velocity business operations, and partner with GTM, Product, and IT leaders to ensure our commercial strategies are not only ambitious but operationally sound and compliant.

The successful candidate possesses a rare blend of executive presence, technical mastery, and deep operational experience. You are someone who thrives on solving the "puzzle" of non-standard transactions, while simultaneously building the automated, robust systems required for a world-class public company. You aren't just managing a function; you are setting the vision for operational excellence and leading a high-performing team to execute it.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead the global Revenue, AR, and CoGS accounting functions, managing the strategic direction for high-integrity subledger operations, journal entry frameworks, and effective reconciliations.
  • Direct the seamless integration of technical accounting policies into high-volume global workflows, ensuring that financial outcomes are a precise reflection of Twilio’s innovative business.
  • Define and drive the scalable operational vision for ERP workflows and revenue automation (e.g., Oracle RMCS, Zuora), identifying process gaps and championing technology-driven improvements required for a world-class public company, executing in partnership with business operations and enterprise technology teams.
  • Empower your team to deliver sophisticated variance analysis that uncovers the "why" behind fluctuations, delivering a clear narrative of financial performance.
  • Drive effective collaboration with Billing, GTM, Product & Pricing, and FP&A leaders, providing the high-level guidance necessary to evaluate the operational feasibility and compliance of ongoing and new initiatives.
  • Provide oversight on highly complex accounting concerns such as material, non-standard customer contracts, ensuring the surgical application of accounting guidance and internal policies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting teams to ensure accurate disclosures and robust policy memos, while leading the global team through seamless audit cycles.
  • Own the global control framework for functional areas, evolving SOX compliance and internal audit strategies to stay ahead of Twilio’s shifting business models and regulatory requirements.
  • Set the vision for operational excellence, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth, elevating your team from transactional experts to strategic collaborators.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 6+ years with a revenue accounting focus, with a significant portion in a large, fast-paced public company environment.
  • 8+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing, management-level teams, with a proven ability to build, nurture, and influence an effective team culture.
  • Expert-level understanding of ASC 606, deferred revenue accounting, and complex CoGS structures (including gross margin mechanics) in a SaaS or Usage-based environment.
  • Deep experience with enterprise-grade ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and specialized revenue subledgers (e.g., Zuora Revenue, RMCS).
  • Proven ability to influence C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, translating complex accounting transactions into clear strategic narratives.
  • Exceptional ability to handle "gray area" exceptions and non-standard transactions with a focus on both compliance and business enablement, as well as a proven ability to cut through the noise to identify the core components of a problem and drive toward a pragmatic, scalable, and optimized outcome.
  • Expert knowledge of the SOX framework and a track record of designing and maintaining compliance controls for complex, high-volume data environments.

Desired:

  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience in a "Big 4" public accounting firm.
  • Experience navigating the transition from traditional SaaS to consumption-based/usage-based revenue models.
